[AWIS Chicago Listserve] Volunteer Opportunity 4/11 and Social Night Out 2/25

1. Looking to inspire middle school girls and instill in them the love of
science while networking with women in STEM and healthcare-related fields?
If so, the Girls Empowered by Math and Science (GEMS) event is for you! We
are looking for women volunteers to run 25-min hands-on workshops from
8:30a.m.-12:30p.m.for 5th-8th grade girls and their parents on *Saturday,
April 11th,* at Niles West High School in Skokie, IL. An informal
networking session for all the presenters is being planned.

Workshop topics are at the discretion of the presenters and can be
different for 5th & 6th versus 7th and 8th graders.

For further information about the event or to volunteer, please contact

2. Please join AWIS in a social night out! Come to meet and mingle with
other AWIS members. No fee to attend, attendees may purchase food and drink
on their own. Look for your fellow members at AWIS reserved tables.
