*AWIS Chicago **6th Annual Innovator Award and the 1st Annual Motivator
Award Dinner**

Our winners will be honored at our annual dinner on June 6th at Pazzo's.
We will also recognize contributors and long-standing members of
AWIS-Chicago.

*When*: Wednesday, June 6th
*Time*: 6:30-8:30pm
*Where*: Pazzo's 311 S. Wacker
*Cost*: $10  for AWIS Chicago members, $15 for students, $30 for
non-members/on-site

Dinner, soft drinks, and dessert provided. Cash bar.

*Public Transit and parking*: 1.5 blocks from Union Station, 2.5 blocks
from Quincy/Wells (Brown line) and La Salle Metra

Spouses and friends are welcome!

*Awardees*

*Innovator Awardee: Dr. Susan Cohn,* of the University of Chicago, for
demonstrating innovative approaches applied to a clinical setting by
investigating genetic factors and molecular predictors that contribute to
neuroblastoma survival rates in children.

*Motivator Awardee: Ami LeFavre*, of Niles Township High School, for
selflessly going above and beyond her teaching responsibilities to motivate
and encourage young girls to realize the importance of STEM and to pursue
this as a career. She initiated and continued multiple programs to achieve
this such as the GEMS (Girls Empowered by Math and Science) program,
organizing and distributing opportunities for STEM internships, and
providing opportunities for peer mentoring.
